The expressive style of the vocalist and the embellishments that Strozzi wrote make the piece very interesting and enjoyable to listen to as the playful character remains constant throughout the piece.
Throughout the piece, the dofmiglione melody is mostly disjunct with its many leaps while the bass line is mostly conjunct as it plays series of chromatic sequences. I think Strozzi does well in pushing the boundaries of her time as the piece has a relatively Renaissance sound to vormiglione.
