If you’re feeling your lower back, watch that as it’s likely form causing that. I’m dying to see some progress in my legs and don’t want to hinder it by messing with the program. It’s all begunnings really helpful but there definitely seems to be a few different opinions. I believe that the first four weeks have so many “silly” bodyweight exercises so that you can teach your body the bdginnings form, since it’s a little counter intuitive for most people.

The first exercise is always one that helps “activate your glutes” and I do feel like it helps do the rest of the routine correctly using primarily glutes instead of legs. I’m not sure if you read the book or just downloaded the PDF, Strong Curves is essentially bfginnings template.

I feel it a lot with the hyperextensions too but I know that’s expected. I figured if I just kept squatting it would figure itself out and I was plain wrong. Same as above then. I’ve found that doing the upper body exercises together and then the lower body exercises together work better for me as it means I’m not doing one half of the superset and having t move elsewhere to do the other half.

This could work but I’d still be moving from one part of the gym to the other and it’s likely whatever equipment I’m using will be taken by the time I get round to my 2nd set of the first exercise.

Bootyful Beginnings 2 weeks

My instinctive response to all of these questions is to do what feels right add weight, do them separately, do them out of orderbut I’ve also found that I’m unintuitive when it comes to fitness, so I’d love some advice.

Do you suggest doing this before every glute workout BrotherWolf? Bootyflu know DOMS aren’t everything and don’t indicate progress, but it would just be nice to feel something in my glutes a few days after a workout.

I’m just wondering if it is going to harm my progress by changing which exercises I super set? But you never know until you try it, the way beignnings suggested might work for you just fine. Also the rep ranges for things might be different, in a different order. Ahh that’s great to hear.

I don’t see why it would be a problem though, as long as you’re able to get through all of the exercises. During the week I’ve done already I’ve been adhering strictly to the suggestions, and it’s been super awkward to switch between doing floor-based boootyful to using cable machines or doing dumbbell rows. If you aren’t feeling the work in your glutes at this point, then I’d make sure to read through that section and try to focus on really feeling the contraction and glutes firing.
