My only real issue was that the author is all too obvious in his dislike for democrats, and the character “Carmichael” was clearly loosely based around Hilary Clinton, who I happen to admire. Perhaps your political perspective can affect summation of this book, but I felt that it was a great idea, muddied by a whole lot of convenient nefarious goings on, which contributed little to the thrill and nothing to the action. His nickname is “Norseman” for crying out loud! It reminded me a little of Grisham or Clancy in that regard and the complexity of the relationships between all the players was, thankfully, nowhere near as confusing as a Clancy novel.
