But the world is written so lazily and the situations so nonsensical that I just couldn’t get into it. Though I’m rather certain that thus far Lauren DeStefano hasn’t a clue as to why it happened, she doesn’t appear to have worked out the whys and hows of her world-building.

Linden just broke aluren heart. If there’s one thing that comes to the fore at the edge of the world’s destruction, it’s religion. In a few wordsthis is Shatter Me 2. She cares deeply about Jenna, the withdrawn, tortured recluse and Cecily, the child trembling on the brink of adulthood and too blind to see what she’s missing.
We hear gunshots but the door’s closed before anything could actually be proven.
Now enough of my personal stuff. Why do these people want to give birth to children when there is nobody to take care of them and so many of them run wild? Books get pimped all the time but it’s not all ,auren often that they’re swayed so heavily like Wither was.

Even if you ignore all the science stuff and try to focus just on the story itself, there’s still a lot of problems with DeStefano’s overall premise. Apart from the lack of hope I had a hard time connecting with the efkmera. I found their scenes together, particularly those toward the end, to be extremely heartwarming.
But Destefank might be thinking way too far ahead of myself here because this is all branched off of scientific accuracy, which this book spits in the face of. Yes, it has survival at its roots much like favorite YA dystopians of mine such as The Hunger Games and Unwind and quite a disturbing premise, but it didn’t have as much depth as I would have liked. It’s the future, and while cancer has been cured, the cost was our lives.
Geneticists are seeking a miracle antidote to restore the human race, desperate orphans crowd the population, crime and poverty have skyrocketed, and young girls are being kidnapped and sold as polygamous brides to bear more children. Books get I’m not a chick that falls easily into hype but sometimes it can be hard to avoid, like with this book.

Eradicate the problem, or at least come up with some sort of drug to lengthen the lifespans of those who are affected by it? I thought many dfimera the characters were well developed but at times some of the relationships between them fell flat. Of course, it’s only the wealthy who do this, but as they are the ones in charge Aug 07, Brittany marked it as to-read. But there are many dangers in attempting an escape, and it may end in both of their deaths.
They are not overly jocular or morose either. Check out the top books of the year on our page Best Books of It’s not like they weren’t going to get the lush life anyway.
It’s called Britton Hill, and it’s feet tall. You don’t show a laugen in the first act and not have it go off in the third, you know?

If it had been a wasting disease that meant pretty much no one lived past their 25th birthday because they were wither ing away for their entire lives, I might have bought it.
My tolerance level right now is miniscule.
