Too many valuable and practical lessons to list here, but one that stands out is the sanfe and practical explanation of forgiveness.

This book is a good gift to the church. Pdacemaker you will find a theology of conflict resolution even richer than that presented in the previous editions.
While the authors had plenty of great knowledge that works for young women, I just thought a female perspective would be nice. You put two people in a room and you will get at least five different opinions on something and they will fight. Maybe a bit heavy on lists and pat answers, reminiscent of Bill Gothard saande Jay Adams in fact, I think I recognized some terminologybut very practical for all that, and biblically sound. Sande’s main point is that God hates conflict and that we should do whatever we can to resolve conflict.
It provides a simple yet comprehensive approach to resolving conflict. If others fail to leacemaker our desires, we sometimes condemn them in peacemakeer hearts and fight harder to get our own way.

Continue reading about Ken Sande. They deal with lawsuits and ways to avoid themarbitration, and other methods for coping with serious conflict. This is a must read for anyone dealing with a difficult relationship in their life. I’ve been immensely thankful for this practical, God-honoring, cross-exalting book for years, and now it’s more valuable than ever. This book helped to change the dynamic of my marriage.

This book is a tremendous resource for handling conflict in personal relationships. Sande proposes a replacement strategy that starts with dethroning our idol of choice. Glorifying God by exploring the opportunities to show godlly character that conflict provides, living at peace, and trusting in the Lord and doing good; Getting the log out of our eyes by reflecting on whether something is really worth fighting over, recognizing that conflict starts in the heart, and finding the freedom that confession of fault brings; Gently restoring others by dealing with conflict between the people involved, speaking the truth in love, and taking one or two others along to demonstrate one’s commitment to peace; and Going and being reconciled by forgiving as God has forgiven us, looking to the interests of others and not merely our own, and overcoming evil with good.
Without going into such matters, it is little surprise that a friend of mine would find it useful to give me a book that relate so strongly relates to a matter of great personal importance that is something I lack a great deal of skill in, so much so that my lack of competence in conflict resolution becomes a matter of general notice and considerable personal embarrassment. I can’t say that this book is compulsively readable, but I do think it is an excellent book for anyone in mission work, ministry, and in any type of conflict.

Sande’s years of experience as an attorney and as president of Peacemaker Ministries will strengthen readers’ confidence as they stand in the gap as peacemakers. Serious, divisive conflict is everywhere-within families, in the church, and out in the world. There are excellent scriptural reminders that it is important to resolve conflict.
